As a psychotherapist my aim is to develop a supportive and collaborative relationship with clients, a reliable base from which it becomes possible to explore feelings, thoughts and experiences. I believe the therapeutic process can bring about insight and understanding, along with greater self-awareness and emotional growth, allowing individuals to make choices for themselves and to move towards achieving a greater sense of balance and fulfilment in their lives. Sometimes people find it hard to take the first step, fearful that looking closer within themselves or their relationships will result in greater pain or loss. Usually, the opposite is true - therapy doesn't provide a magic wand and sometimes it isn't easy, but often clients find it to be a helpful, supportive and creative process.
The voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes
